I have found love (and am blissfully married).
I am constantly in search of my artistic niche. Or perhaps... plural niches.
I dabble in the following: metalsmithing, collage, painting, assemblage, beading, knitting, sewing, cooking, graphic design, web design, sound design, photography, screenprinting, writing, songwriting, and more... as they occur to me and as I acquire the time to dabble.
I continue to strive for less dabbling and more expertise.
I have a knack for clutter. A real knack. Seriously, it should be my profession.
I am somewhat clumsy, and I spill my coffee a lot. (Usually on white shirts.)
Ergo my handle.
My favorite smells are coffee, old books, leather, honeysuckle, cedar, cloves, sandalwood and bergamot and earl grey tea.
I recently quit my full time job to concentrate on my own business and grad school. I will be completing my MA in Interdisciplinary Arts at Columbia College Chicago. It's a major life change, but it's all for a good cause... me.
I also volunteer some time monitoring open studio time at a local art center (Lill Street). It's there that I accomplish most of my screeprinting work, and occasionally take a metalsmithing class just for kicks.
I take a LOT of pictures... of almost everything I see. And I recently received a fancy new camera from my fabulous husband, so I am now the proud owner of a Canon Rebel XTi (and a macro lens, to boot).
And...
I'm only 5 feet tall.
